Walking

Stiperstones

The Mucklewick Walk takes you on a moderately long walk in the shadow of the Stiperstones Ridge National Nature Reserve, starting and finishing at the nearby Bog Visitor Centre (Britain's only gas-lit visitor centre) and passing Shelve Pool. You could try and spot lizard, brown hare or birds such as red grouse, skylark and wood warbler on your way.

For this walk and other routes you could take a Shropshire Hills Shuttle to explore the area. The Shuttles provide easy access into the Shropshire Hills for walking, sightseeing, pub lunches, picnics and more. Explore the Stiperstones landscape at a leisurely pace, discovering villages and hidden valleys, and relishing the far-reaching views from the high ground.
